Social Media Reacts To The Shocking Price Of The Shoe Winky D Wore At Castle Tankard

The Castle Lager Tankard came alive on Saturday 7 May and a lot happened.

Winky D was forcefully taken off the stage by the Zimbabwe Republic Police under the pretext that he had performed way beyond the start of the curfew.

As people walked out of the venue, which is Borrowdale Race Course, there was a terrible stampede which took the lives of two people and injured many.

Done with the main incidents at Castle Tankard, Zimbabweans are now preoccupied with what Winky D wore on the day.

Winky D, real name Wallace Chirumiko, is unarguably one of the best live performers in Zimbabwe, and when he rocks the stage, he comes in well prepared. This can be seen from how he even dresses on stage.

Zimbos on social media were quick to do research on the shoe that the Gaffa wore. A scroll through the Philipp Plein website proves that the sneakers do not come cheap.

Their shoes range from US$1,600 and can go as high as US$7,000. Punchstar posted a picture of another Philipp Plein sneaker, which is going for US$5,415. They posted it next to Winky D, who was wearing the same brand at Castle Tankard on Saturday.
